Congratulations—you’ve arrived at the home stretch of our Windows to Wonder Crochet Along! Over these past weeks, we’ve trailed Nicodemus from his clandestine, moonlit conversations with Jesus to the bold decision he makes at the tomb. Today, we’re delighted to share the final rows of the Windows Shawl pattern.

Weaving Devotion into Every Stitch
As you pick up your hook and yarn, invite these practices to transform your crafting time into moments of prayer and reflection:
1. Sit with the Scripture: Read or listen to John 19:38–42, then reflect on these prompts:
Stepping into Daylight: What keeps you “coming by night” in your faith? How might embracing openness, as Nicodemus did, deepen your walk with Christ?
Bold Service: Joseph of Arimathea risked reputation to care for Jesus’ body. Where is God nudging you to show courageous love, even when it feels uncomfortable
Heart over Habit: Nicodemus set aside ritual purity to honor Jesus. Which traditions in your life might need re‑orienting so compassion leads the way?
2. Breathe in Blessing, One Stitch at a Time
Pick a two‑part breath prayer—e.g., “Spirit, guide me” / “Lead me in love.”
With each forward loop, pray the first phrase; with each return, the second.
Let the cadence of your hook and yarn draw you into a gentle rhythm of praise.
3. Anointing Aroma Meditation
Gather small vials of myrrh, aloes, or your favorite essential oils.
As you work the shawl’s lace or border, pause to uncork a vial and inhale.
Offer a silent prayer for compassion, courage, and conviction to fill your heart—echoing Nicodemus’ fragrant gift.
4. Gospel on Loop: A Scripture Soundtrack
Curate a playlist of John’s Gospel readings—focus on themes of belief, witness, and community.
Let these passages play softly as you crochet, allowing the words to weave through your thoughts.
At verse 42, pause your hook and sit in the hush of the tomb, contemplating what it means to “believe into Christ.”
