What's a Chrismon?

A Chrismon is a Christian symbol that represents Jesus, often used as a Christmas ornament in churches and homes to reflect the spiritual meaning of the holiday. The word Chrismon comes from combining Christ and monogram, as Chrismons often use symbols or monograms associated with Jesus. Traditionally, Chrismons are white and gold to symbolize the purity and majesty of Christ. Originating in the mid-20th century, Chrismons are now a cherished part of Christmas decor in many churches, serving as visual reminders of Christ’s life, teachings, and love.
